
A fisherman looking for yellowfin tuna witnessed an unbelievable shark feeding frenzy off the coast of Venice, Louisiana, in February. Dillon Might recorded a video of the chaotic scene as dozens of sharks churned the ocean floor white and stuffed the air with spray.
Might instructed Storyful that he and his girlfriend, Kaitlyn Dix, have been on a good friend’s boat 15 miles off Venice after they noticed an enormous menhaden pod and motored towards it. Because the water began to churn, Might first thought it was a tuna boil. “Then we noticed it was sharks on a bait pod,” Might stated. “[I’ve] by no means seen something prefer it.”
Might stated the predators appeared to make use of the boat to their benefit. “By the point we bought there, the sharks had discovered the pod and pushed them up in opposition to the boat to feast on them,” he stated.
