A month after the EPA’s resolution towards the Pebble mine, one other mining firm desires to discover close by. Southwest Alaska fishermen, tribes, and companies are voicing concern over a brand new utility to mine within the Bristol Bay watershed, this time for exploration alongside Kaskanak Creek, southwest of the proposed Pebble prospect.
The Stuy Mines undertaking at Kaskanak is only one of 200 tasks in exploration within the space of Bristol Bay.
